New
City Church of Los Angeles is very different than most of our Stadia
plants. The Planter, Kevin Haah, is Korean-American, and is planting a
church whose goal is "to look like downtown". So far, he is succeeding. He
has gathered a core team of 20+ people, and this group covers multiple races
and multiple socio-economic groups (from wealthy loft-dwellers to those
living on skid row). It's really something!
On
Easter, Kevin did a "soft launch" to bring in more people so that he could
enlarge the size of his core team. About 70 people showed up, and it was an
amazingly diverse crowd. His plan is to connect as many of these people as
possible to the church, and continue to build toward a launch in the Fall.
They took 190 pictures on Easter. Here are a few, but We encourage you
to take a look at their full photo album. You can check out their funky
meeting location and see the diversity of their crowd in the photo album.
